Rinat Tregerman is a pianist and composer who brings a unique blend of musical innovation and genre-defying compositions to her performances. Combining jazz, world rhythms, and contemporary songwriting, her music speaks to a diverse audience and inspires exciting improvisational conversations with fellow musicians. Rinat has collaborated with various artists and choreographers from around the world, weaving her Israeli roots and improvisational risk into her playing.
She began her studies in piano and jazz performance at the Rimon School of Jazz and received the prestigious Stu HaCohen Award for Musical and Academic Excellence. She then received a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Jazz Composition and Piano Performance with Awards and Honors studying under virtuosos such as Greg Hopkins and Joanne Brackeen. Soon after her graduation Rinat had collaborated with Grammy award winner Terence Blanchard and Berklee faculty Neil Leonard in the event "Wired for Jazz: An Exploration of Jazz and Electronics".
Rinat has performed in multiple venues across the US, including New England and New York such as Rockwood Music Hall, Williamsburg Music Center, Ryles Jazz Club, the Lily Pad, Boston University, the Berklee Performance Center, Hebrew College, Green Fest, The Dance Complex and The Democracy Center. Her music creates a conversation with listeners and takes them on a journey that transcends genre and form, inspiring excitement, exploration, and healing.
